Well how's this?
Since all the New Years hubub, why not find a way to improve myself, moving closer to any sort of skill..webskill?
Anyway, there is something that a friend recently told me about doing things while they are in your head, while you think about them, act upon whatever it is you need to do. Laundy? hold on..Check. Working out? Was in the middle of it/yoga/laying on the floor stretching when I got the urge to create. Something. Anything.
That's what I will begin doing. Something ambitious enough to keep me motivated, but enough room for me toplay Skyrim work around my busy winter break schedule.
Create something new each week. Drawing, code..snippet I suppose, A FUDGING GAME (surprisingly this may inspire me to create a game about fudge...) , anything. As long as it keeps me occupied for at least 8+ hours, or somehow match mySkyrim playtime Christmas caroling; there may not be enough jolly hours in the world for that.
But something new. That I created. From nothing. Isn't that a great feeling?
I'll post it here, I promise* every week, or as best as I can. I still have till the 15th of Jan to resume classes. Don't worry, all 20 of my pageviewers will make sure I am on task.
Now, back to my promising* exercise regimen.
*Promises not guaranteed

Progress
I'm getting a few things done in between spurts of school, work, and tf2.
The radio Application is coming along. this is a learning project so many things that i get stuck on are basic Android problems. however by the time I am finished ( I really should finish soon...) I will know how to set up multiple rss feeds and group them into a single list as well as controlling a foreground service via a dummy activity. This one is tough, I've been trying to send the service's media player through the binder but have been unsuccessful so far. A little more bug stomping will hopefully work this out. Although I can always try an intent broadcaster connected to a start/stop button that the media service will listen for. This seems kinda janky /lackadaisical in execution. I really want to use the media controller class and am trying...however the documentation for that is a mess itself. -_-
Looking forward to ice cream sammich
In school I have a couple programming assignments approaching quickly. a simple BST implementation that I need to look at, and then the final project for my game class. This is a project brained by a group member and it looks fun to take part in. It's done in game maker though, so i'm not sure what to expect...considering that my current dream-game is in pygame makes it not much different, i'm sure there's actually more support for games in GAME MAKER than PYGAME anyway, pygame looks sadly outdated in some areas. :(
What other platforms use python as a base besides blender?
Regardless, after next semester i should be able to deal with 3d modeling software relatively easy......knocks on wood.
I have 26 new emails. spam probably. i should check that.
Where was I? final project yes. 3 people working on a game is a bit better than just me myself. I just hope I don't drop the ball with my devlish ways. Bah, it'll be a learning experience.

Procrastination
I've achieved little progress on the radio app, looking through documentation just wastes time.
Halloween is coming up, i thought i'd be a member of the team fortress 2 cast, the spy. simple cheap and effective.
Apart from that This is a quick blog post to make sure i follow up with my goals.
as of now my current pending operations are:
-radio app
-2d platformer
-learn GML it'll help with my next game making class
-Seriously, this game
Okay gonna get cracking on a cup of Joe and a mess of code. later

Virgin post, breaking in the new ship
Avast, I am a budding young programmer, learning to code one project at a time! I have been learning by the internet mainly as well as uni/community college classes.
It seems that this blog is a good idea.
I shall continue to post here and update my progress, as a programmer's job is never done. I hope to see several things to completion as a byproduct to this blog.
Calling myself out in the future (Sup dude), I hope to complete first and foremost an Andriod radio app, it has to have to capacity to play radio streams (accomplished but buggy), read through an rss feed, and select different mp3 files through this archive. Also a twitter/facebook integration would help.
Big task, I know. And it's also my first paid one. What am I doing typing this!? Thumbing through the documentation (With virtual thumbs naturally) I am figuring out how to both get a basic application up and running as well as adding all of the functionality I require.
-------------------
Second project?
Small Time Octopus Stars
Can't say much about it but i have to finish a working version by summer of 2012. :x *knocks on wood*
Alas, if this blog is forgotten then the projects may lay in dust.
